SEX OFFENDER ARREST
One individual has been arrested and charged with a community notification act offense, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Alonzo Williamson, 24, of Boaz, has been arrested and charged with one count of failure to comply with the Community Notification Act, which is a felony,” states Investigator Josh Morgan.
Williamson was registered to be at 835 Gazaway Road, Boaz (inside Etowah County).
Sheriff’s Office deputies conduct random checks each month on sex offenders registered in Etowah County.
Williamson was located by investigators at a residence on Douglas Road in Guntersville.
He is currently being held in the Marshall County Detention Center.
