Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III announced the arrest of one individual as the
result of an investigation conducted by Detectives from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office
Special Victim’s Unit.
Arrested was Justin Dean, age 19, of Phillipsburg, NJ.
Prosecutor Kearns said that, “Evidence obtained by Detectives resulted in Justin Dean being charged
with 2nd Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child and 4th Degree Lewdness. It is alleged that Mr.
Dean exposed himself to a child under the age of 13. The charges are based on an incident that
occurred in Holland Township in May 2011.”
The Honorable Stephen B. Rubin, J.S.C. set bail at $50,000. Dean was lodged in the Hunterdon
County Jail awaiting a first court appearance.
If found guilty of the charges, Dean could face up to 15 years in state prison.
The filing of a criminal complaint is merely a step in the criminal justice process. The defendant is
presumed innocent until the matter is resolved in a court of law.
