Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns III announced the arrest of Mr. Marc R. Range, 23. Mr. Range is charged with Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Criminal Mischief, and Receiving Stolen Property. He resided in Easton, Pennsylvania, and Washington (Franklin Township), Warren County, New Jersey.
On Wednesday, June 29th, 2011, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s office convened a Tri-county Burglary Task Force. The Task Force met at the Hunterdon County Prosecutors Office to discuss the burglaries and thefts occurring throughout the region.
In attendance were 24 law enforcement officials from Hunterdon, Morris, and Warren Counties.
The Task Force included:
The Hunterdon County Prosecutors Office, Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Department, New Jersey State Police, and the Tewksbury, Franklin Twp., High Bridge, Lebanon Twp, Raritan Twp., Readington Twp., Lambertville City, Flemington Borough Police, and Washington Twp. Police Departments.
Within hours of the meeting’s conclusion, Task Force Detectives Sgt. Timothy Barlow of the Tewksbury Township Police and Thomas Falleni of the Washington Township Police (Morris County) developed evidence that put the investigation into high gear.
With the assistance of Troopers from the New Jersey State Police, Perryville and Washington Barracks, Pennsylvania authorities and members of the Prosecutor’s task force, a multi-jurisdictional search to apprehend suspect(s), and recover stolen property was launched.
Search Warrants were executed on properties affiliated with suspect(s) in Easton, Pennsylvania and Franklin Township in Warren County, New Jersey.
Marc R. Range is currently in custody and is being booked at the Easton Police Department in Pennsylvania. His bail is set at $80,000, and he awaits extradition back to New Jersey. There may be further charges pending.
The filing of a criminal complaint is merely a step in the criminal justice process. The defendant is presumed innocent until the matter is resolved in a court of law.
