Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III announced the arrest of one individual as a result of an investigation conducted by the HCPO Major Crimes Unit.
Prosecutor Kearns said, “On April 23, 2011, the Prosecutor’s Office was alerted of a disbarred attorney, Thomas J. Izso, who had represented a defendant in court in Hunterdon County in 2010. According to the New Jersey Supreme Court, Izso was disbarred in May 2009.”
Evidence obtained by detectives resulted in charges against Izso for the Unlawful Practice of Law, 4th Degree. He was released on his own recognizance and has a first appearance in Superior Court in Flemington on June 17, 2011.
The filing of a criminal complaint is merely a step in the criminal justice process. The defendant is presumed innocent until the matter is resolved in a court of law.
