Hurricane Irene
Due to the impending hurricane Governor Christie has declared a State of Emergency. This storm has the ability to have a significant impact on the State of New Jersey. Current tracking models suggests approximately 8am Sunday morning the storm will be in the area of Cape May and travel Northeast up the State. There is the potential for significant flooding, high winds, downed trees & power lines, wide spread power outages.
Readington Township Office of Emergency Management is monitoring the situation and is in contact with County and State Emergency Management officials. Any information pertaining to Readington Township will be posted on the township website and sent via a NIXLE message.
