The City of Idalou was contacted by Xcel to get the word out to our citizens. Xcel is asking that we conserve electricity for the next few hours until 8pm. This is a precaution that Xcel is asking us to take while they work on their system. They recommend raising your a/c by 2 degrees and turning off all lights that are not in use. Xcel appreciates everyone's effort to help conserve electricity.
