Suspect Charged in Connection with Breaking and Entering and Theft of Copper

Dearborn, Mi. —

On August 3, 2011 at approximately 12:00 pm, Dearborn Officers responded to 6412 Reuter on a report of a subject stealing copper plumbing from the home. The citizen who called police gave the dispatcher the clothing description of the subject they observed removing copper from the home. Officers arrived and immediately located and arrested the suspect who was identified as Earl Joseph Larche, a 30 year old Allen Park resident.

Larche had been assisting his brother who was hired to do yard work in the area. After observing the home at 6412 was vacant, Larche broke into the home.

Larche was arraigned on one count of Breaking and Entering a Building with Intent and 1 count of Possession of Burglar’s Tools. A preliminary Exam has been set for August 12, 2011 at 9:00 am in the 19th District Court.

Chief Ronald Haddad stated, “Thanks to the observations of a concerned citizen in the neighborhood in calling the police immediately, the suspect was apprehended. This is an excellent example of how well the DHS campaign, “If You See Something, Say Something” can work.
