SUSPECTS:
Argueta, Jorge, HMA, 48 years old, resident of Walnut Creek
Argueta, Rogelio, HMA, 38 years old, resident of Walnut Creek
INVESTIGATION:
On Monday June 27, 2011, at approximately 2042 hours, Walnut Creek Police responded to a physical fight involving five subjects at a car wash in the 2900 block of N. Main Street. When officers arrived they found two subjects suffering from stab wounds. Medical personnel were summoned and took the victims to John Muir Medical Center for significant stab wounds to their torsos. Both victims underwent surgery and are in stable condition. A short time later a third stabbing victim with a laceration to their forearm was located and refused medical treatment.
Officers identified Jorge Argueta and Rogelio Argueta as the two suspects responsible for the stabbings. They were taken to the Walnut Creek Police Department where detectives obtained a confession. They were both arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on $90,000 bail.
