Narrative:
On the above date and time several witnesses called 911 to report seeing a suspect break the front window of the Wild Planet and enter the business. The business was closed at the time. Witnesses remained on the line with the dispatcher while officers responded to the call. A Patrol Officer was patrolling in the Downtown area when the call was received and arrived within a minute of the call.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident as he left the business through the broken front window. He was found to be in possession of property from the business.
With the assistance of a K-9, officers searched the business and discovered the suspect also caused a large amount of property damage.
He was transported to Ventura County Medical Center for injuries he suffered from the broken glass. After being released from the hospital, the suspect was booked into Ventura County Juvenile Hall for Commercial Burglary and Felony Vandalism.
