Ventura Police Detective’s investigation into this crime has led to the arrest of Max Ledezma, 22 yrs. of Ventura.
Patrol Officers stopped Ledezma during a traffic stop on June 21, 2011, after Detectives had been looking for him. Ledezma was arrested without incident and booked into the Ventura County Jail on charges of Armed Robbery, Assault With a Deadly Weapon, and Street Gang Terrorism.
The female associate is still outstanding. If anyone has any additional information about this crime they are urged to contact the Ventura Police Department at 805-339-4416 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. If your information leads to an arrest, you could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Narrative:
On May 27, 2011, at 6:53 p.m.,Ventura Police Patrol Officers responded to a possible shooting victim at Grant Park 655 Brakey Rd. Officers arrived moments after the call was generated and located a witness in the area.
According to the reporting party, the suspect attempted to take the victim’s (Chase Christensen) property at gunpoint. Christensen refused and the suspect struck Christensen on the head with the handgun he was holding. The suspect then fired his gun at the ground near victim’s feet. The suspect took the victim’s property and fled the location in a white or silver sedan driven by an unknown female.
Responding Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspects, who are still outstanding. Christensen refused any medical attention and was uncooperative with the police investigation. There were several conflicting statements between various witnesses.
No one was injured as a result of the gunshot however, Christensen received a ¼” inch laceration to his head from the impact of the firearm.
