Blackwell Police arrest a man this morning during a traffic stop with 45grams of Methamphetamine and a loaded handgun.

On Friday June 17th about 1:50am Officers from the Blackwell Police Department made a traffic stop at Main St. and McKinley Ave. During the stop the Officers arrested Edgar Charles Vincent 45, of Tonkawa.

During the stop the Blackwell Police Department drug dog "Loyza" was called to the scene and alerted to drugs in Vincent's vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed over 45 grams of Methamphetamine, a glass pipe and a loaded handgun.

Blackwell Officers then obtained a search warrant to Vincent's home in Tonkawa at 907 N. 7th Street. Later this morning at about 7:00am Blackwell Officers along with Tonkawa Police and an Investigator from the Eight District Attorney's Office searched the residence and found drug packaging material, scales, firearms, and surveillance equipment.

The Investigation is ongoing and information obtained could lead to further arrests. Vincent is being held at the City of Blackwell Jail and will be transported to the Kay County Detention Center in the morning. He is expected to face charges of Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession Of A Firearm In The Commission Of A Felony, Possession Of CDS Without A Tax Stamp and Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia.
