LA County Sheriff and Fire Department Team up with The Antelope Valley Mall to hold Public Safety Expo, June 18, 2011. 
The Palmdale Sheriff’s Station, in cooperation with the Antelope Valley Mall, and the Los Angeles County Fire Department will be hosting their annual “Public Safety Expo,” June 18th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The event showcases both the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s public safety services that they provide to the communities in the Antelope Valley.
Both departments have arranged to have several displays showcasing the many different services and units of the departments such as: Search and Rescue, Traffic Services, Sheriff’s Racing Team, Urban Search and Rescue Unit, LA County Fire Engine Companies, Volunteer mounted Unit, Palmdale Stations Explorer Unit, Antelope Valley CERT, LASD Traffic Services Unit, LASD STAR Unit, and many more.
Other entities participating in the Safety Expo this year include the California Highway Patrol, The City of Palmdale’s Public Safety Office, American Medical Response, and Granite Construction Company who will be demonstrating safety tips in relation to their industry.
This free event is open to the public and is an opportunity for the residents of the Antelope Valley, and their children, to come up close with the multiple pieces of equipment the above agencies have to offer to the Antelope Valley. The Expo will take place in the parking lot and courtyard of the Antelope Valley Mall’s southern entrance.
