There has been an increase in car burglaries in Morris Plains and surrounding communities recently. Most of the vehicle burglaries have taken place during the overnight hours, and unlocked vehicles have been the target of the vast majority of these incidents. Residents are urged to remove money, wallets and electronic devices from their vehicles; or store them out of sight. Always remember to lock your vehicle and please report suspicious persons and/or activity to the police.
