May 16,2011
Dear Community Member:
On Wednesday, May 25, 2011 the Gloucester Township Police Department with the support of the Gloucester Township Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #206 will be holding an Awards
Night to recognize officers for their outstanding dedication and service. This event will take place at the Dennis Flyer Memorial Theatre at Camden County College at 7:30 PM. This awards ceremony follows National Police Appreciation Week as a show of support to all of the men and women in law enforcement not only here in Gloucester Township but to all those who serve in the law enforcement profession. This event is open to all Gloucester Township Police Officers, their families and friends, fellow officers, special officers, retired officers, community leaders, and all members of the public. This special awards celebration is just one of many activities occurring in Gloucester Township during National Police Week. Gloucester Township Police Officers will be visiting elementary schools throughout our community as they teach children bicycle safety, demonstrate various police equipment, and participate in athletic events. Additionally, our fOUlih grade students will be participating in a Gloucester Township Police Poster Contest and our seventh grade students will be participating in a Gloucester Township Police Essay Contest. The theme of both of these contests is "Police and Community Pride in Gloucester Township". Outstanding essays and posters will be selected and these students will be recognized for their achievements at the awards ceremony on May 25th. Please know that we welcome your attendance at this special event. The mission of the Gloucester Township Police Department of making our community a safer place and fostering a community parinership is possible because of all the hard work and dedication of so many of our residents, volunteers, community leaders, and business owners.
As always thank you for your support.
