On Saturday, April 30, 2011, from 10am-2pm at the Gloucester Township Senior Center located at the Municipal Building , The Gloucester Township Police Department will be participating in Operation Take Back New Jersey. Operation Take Back New Jersey will afford Gloucester Township residents the opportunity to rid their homes of their unused, unwanted, and expired medicine. Several New Jersey county prescription drug abuse task forces and focus groups have recognized the need for efficient, secure, and environmentally sound methods to collect and dispose of unused, unwanted and expired medicine. Law Enforcement officials will dispose of the controlled substances in a safe and non – hazardous manner, preventing these pills from falling into the hands of juveniles or into the illicit market in our communities.
