Local Fresno Software Company Expands, Moves Into Former Gottschalks Corporate Office
On, Tuesday, April 26, Mayor Ashley Swearengin will be announcing the expansion of Decipher, a Fresno-based software company that just celebrated its eleventh year in business and continuous growth.
The event will be held at the former Gottschalks Corporate office at 7 River Park Way East near Highway 41 and Friant Road at 10 a.m.
“Decipher is the perfect example of a Fresno-based software company that is under the radar on the local level but is considered a leader in their industry worldwide,” Mayor Swearengin said. “These are the companies that we need to continue to support, promote and talk about to let our residents know there are high-skilled and high-paying jobs in Fresno.”
Decipher’s market research software and services utilize a combination of web-based applications, custom technology development and traditional research techniques to help clients like EBay, Pay Pal and Whole Foods best identify what their customers want.
In 2010 alone, Decipher conducted more than 3,000 surveys in 55 languages among 23 million people and sent 210 million emails. In 2011, they are on track to exceed those numbers by 40% and will be launching Beacon, a custom survey software that will empower clients to power surveys on their own and generate $1 million plus in software revenue.
“Decipher’s success has little to do with survey programming, which our customers can buy much cheaper elsewhere. Decipher is about a personal vision, it’s about building a company and building a community at the same time and forging relationships with our customers and consistently meeting their needs whether service or software based. Our choice to move our company from the Bay Area to Fresno ten years ago has helped us accomplish these goals, grow our company and stay competitive in this market,” stated Jamin Brazil, co-CEO and co-founder of Decipher.
Decipher started planning their move to a bigger office space in 2010 and is looking to hire 20-40 new employees this year alone. Employment opportunities range from building and testing on-line surveys, on-site shift supervisors and software and upper management positions.
