On April 18, 2011,at 12:04 am Police Officers were detailed to the Tropical Bar at 983 State Street on a report of a large group fighting. Upon arrival and entering the establishment the owner advised the Officers he wanted the bar closed. While standing by as the patrons were exiting the bar, Officers observed a small group of males which were not leaving. Officer Luis Perez advised the group the bar was closing and they had to leave, Jean Morel age 23 of Perth Amboy refused and became loud and verbally abusive to the Officers causing public alarm. He was placed under arrest but refused to comply with the Officers, becoming combative. After a struggle Mr. Morel was able to be handcuffed.

Mr. Morel was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. His bail was set by Honorable Judge Emery Toth 25,000.00 with 10%
