The extensive structure fire at St. John Vianney Church in Hacienda Heights has been confirmed as an act of arson. The Arson/Explosives Detail of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is the lead investigation unit.

We are actively investigating to identify the suspect responsible. At this time we are not able to share any leads that we are working on.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Arson/Explosives Detail Investigators responded to St. John Vianney Church to investigate the circumstances surrounding an extensive structure fire at the location.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
