0721 hrs

Subject(s) shattered the driver side window of a vehicle parked at 433 South Royal Poinciana Boulevard (apartment complex) to gain entry. Once inside a stereo/CD player was ripped out of the front dash board and a cardboard box containing misc. designed pieces for a school project were removed. The estimated value of items removed is $300.00. The estimated damaged to the dashboard and window is $450.00

An employee of a business located in the Space Coast Credit Union building (700 South Royal Poinciana Boulevard) noticed damage to the entrance door and door handle when she arrived for work. When a MSPD officer arrived he observed that the door frame was pried near the lock which caused damage to the wood surrounding it. It did not appear that entry was made; the employee did not notice anything out of place or missing. The estimated damage to the door is $300.00.

Subject(s) used red paint to graffiti “Tag” the south side of the Miami Springs Senior Center Building (343 Payne Drive); the Tag was illegible. There also was a drawing glued to the wall. The officer on the scene was able to remove most of the paint using the graffiti cleaner from a previous CPO grant. The Director of the Senior Center will contact Public Works to remove the remaining paint. No other damage was done to the building.

A vehicle parked in the 700 block of Pinecrest Drive was burglarized. Unknown subject(s) punched the door lock and removed camera and radio equipment valued at $1,150.

Unknown subject(s) removed a purse containing $2,100 from the front seat of an unattended vehicle in the 10 block of Canal St.

Subject(s) kicked in the front door of a residence in the 1200 block of Ludlam Drive. Once inside subject(s) ransacked the master bedroom and removed a men’s vanity and a four foot tall jewelry cabinet. The vanity and jewelry cabinet contained miscellaneous men’s and women’s jewelry. Subject(s) also entered a second bedroom and removed a laptop computer. The estimated value of the items removed is $12,460.00; the damage to the door is estimated at $300.00.

A 1999 Honda Civic was stolen from 375 South Royal Poinciana Boulevard (apartment Complex). The estimated value of the vehicle is $3,000.

A guest at the Comfort Inn (5301 N.W. 36 Street) left a camera bag in the hotel lobby, when he returned to retrieve it; the bag was no longer there. The camera bag contained a camera, camcorder, charger and a memory card; all valued at approximately $1,320.00.
