A resident of Silver Street reported suspicious activity where an individual approached his elderly mother in an attempt to solicit a paving job for her driveway. When she refused, they said they were coming back anyway to do the job.

This is the time when non legitimate paving operators attempt to solicit paving jobs and other odd jobs around the home, especially from the elderly.

The vehicle used earlier today was a grey older model pickup truck, with no lettering or signage on it.

Please keep any eye out for this vehicle and your neighbors homes.

If you see anyone going door to door soliciting, please call the police department immediately and we can check to see if they are legitimate or not.
