Suspect: Mark Davin Gonzales, Hispanic male, 42 years of age. Transient with a last known address in Oakland.

Narrative:
On the above date/time a WCPD patrol officer observed a 1994 Honda Accord being driven on Pine Street that had been reported stolen earlier in the day out of Oakland. The suspect saw he was being followed and attempted to flee. The vehicle was pursued a short distance until the suspect turned onto Joann Court. The suspect (and sole occupant of the vehicle) then fled on foot and was arrested after a foot pursuit through two backyards.

The suspect was identified as Gonzales, who was recently released from San Quentin for a parole violation. Gonzales was booked into county jail for possession of stolen property, evading and violation of parole.

No one was injured during the incident and the vehicle was subsequently returned to its owner.
