Volunteers Needed to Go Green & Clean at Ted C. Wills

Fresno, CA – Volunteers are being sought for a community clean-up effort Saturday, March 26, from 8 a.m. to noon at Ted C. Wills Community Center, located at 770 N. San Pablo. The work is part of the City of Fresno “Go Green and Clean” park beautification program which has provided hundreds of hours of labor to the park system.

Go Green & Clean volunteers participate in basic park care through litter removal, flower bed raking, pruning, painting, graffiti removal and other light tasks. Volunteers are encouraged to wear long pants, hats, gloves and sun block and bring plenty of drinking water. Basic work tools and supplies will be provided by the City of Fresno.

Each volunteer will be required to complete a volunteer form and waiver. Individuals interested in volunteering should sign up at www.servefresno.com or by calling HandsOn Central California at 559-237-3101. All volunteer hours contributed to the parks cleanup effort will be counted toward Serve Fresno’s volunteer service goal.
