LPD Patrol officers captured three suspects breaking into a central Lubbock home and recovered stolen property.

Patrol officers received a call about suspicious subjects in the area of 48th and Ave T at 10:00 a.m. this morning. Officers located three males loading property into a car in the alley behind a residence in the 1900 block of 48th. Upon seeing officers, one suspect, Charles Austin, 23, fled in the vehicle that was being loaded. When officers gave chase, the other two suspects, Kemon Brown,19, and a 14 year old juvenile tried to hide. After a few minutes, Brown and the juvenile came out of hiding and tried to walk away from the area but were seen by other responding officers. The two males ran from officers but were taken into custody after a short foot chase.
Officers were able to determine the residence at 1920 48th had been broken into and located property that had been stolen from the residence in the alley where the suspects were loading their vehicle.
Officers were able to track the vehicle to an apartment complex at 1901 41st and found Austin inside an apartment along with more property stolen in the burglary.
All three suspects were arrested and charged with Organized Crime, Burglary, and Evading Arrest.
