The Dearborn Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect believed to be involved in the armed robbery/homicide of victim, Jay Shin. The incident occurred just after 11:00 am on March 15, 2011 at the Sunrise Beauty Supply located at 4920 Schaefer in the City of Dearborn.

Dearborn Police have surveillance video from area businesses of a possible suspect. The subject is described as a dark skinned black male, 20 – 25 years, 5’10, thin build, wearing a green waist length hooded jacket with “Packers” written across the front, grey sweatpants, tan boots, and a baseball hat. Preliminary investigation suggests a second black male and a black female were involved in the robbery. The suspects possibly fled the scene in silver, four door vehicle.

The suspect in the composite has a tattoo or birthmark over both eyes and some blotches around his cheek area. Taken in the robbery were approximately 80 assorted colors of “Velvet Remi” brand hair extensions valued between $120.00 and $135.00 each.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP or the Dearborn Police Tip line at 313-943-3012.
