On 03/10/2011 at 11:15 am victim’s van was parked in the area of New Brunswick and Fayette St. waiting to be serviced. It was reported that A Hispanic male walked over to the passenger side door of the van then entered the vehicle taking the GPS from the front windshield. The suspect is a Hispanic male about 5'10" to 6'0", wearing a long black leather coat, blue jeans, brown work boats, a black skull cap with yellow stripes, holding a brown color umbrella. The suspect then walked away heading south on New Brunswick Ave. towards Smith St.

Police warn and as advised by GPS manufacturers not leave the GPS unit including the suction cup holder in plain view. Items of value should also not be left in plain view, as this is an open invitation to theft. Please ensure that your car is locked. Some insurance companies may not cover deductibles.
