THEFT ARRESTS
Two individuals have been arrested and charged with a theft related offense, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Scott Edward Overly, 25, and Sara Compton Baird, 26, both of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, have been arrested and charged with one count of second degree theft of property, which is a felony,” states Investigator Randal Gilliland.
The incident occurred on March 3rd at a residence located on Tarley Drive.
Overly and Baird allegedly stole a chainsaw, computers and several pieces of gold jewelry. Several of the items have been recovered and returned to the victim.
Baird is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $12,500 bond. She is also being held on a fugitive of justice warrant for grand theft in Florida.
Overly is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $2,500 bond. He is a registered sex offender in Michigan.
