The suspect is Eleazar Lopez Morales, MH/43, DOB 082367, described as wearing blue jeans and a dark jacket, and carrying a blanket. He is approximately 5’04, 160 lbs, black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen heading into the desert at 96th Street West and Avenue B on foot. He should be considered dangerous, however, it is not known if he is armed.

The crime occurred at about 1050PM, Thursday, when the suspect allegedly shot an acquaintance in the back twice with a .22 calibre rifle in a dispute over a woman, then fled on foot.

He used to live in Long Beach and has several friends there.

The victim is in critical condition. He is a 35-year old Hispanic man from Rosamond.
