Police arrest Bryant Ricardo Murcia, 5/1/1988 from Old Bridge, NJ, for possession of a weapon and CDS.
On 03/02/2011 at 3:58 pm police were detailed to the area 851 Convery Blvd, behind the park, on a report of a male shooting at another male. Police spoke to a witness who reported that a male fired four shots at another male and the individuals were believed to be running towards Sofield Ave and possibly in a white van. Police Sergeant William Tiedgen observed a white van fitting the description and stopped the vehicle with other members of the police department. After a police investigation the defendant was arrested Mr. Murcia for possession of a silver colored .9mm automatic handgun with black-hand grips and a clear plastic zip lock bag containing greenish brown vegetation believed to be marijuana.
Murcia was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of marijuana over 1 ounce with intent to distribute, possession of an imitation firearm, possession of suboxone, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana within 500 feet of Dalton Park . Bail set by Judge Maria Del Valle-Koch at $25,000.00 no 10%. Defendant was transported to Middlesex County Correction Facility.
