The Perth Amboy Police Department is seeking information for several flim flam thefts which have occurred over the past week. During these thefts the victims received calls from an unknown individual who stated that he needed to MoneyGram a large sum of money to a certain location. The suspect then called back a second time and asked the victim send the transaction to the location before he arrived at the business with the cash because it was an emergency. The suspect stated that he was on his way to the business and that he would be there in five minutes to make the payment for the MoneyGram. The suspect never appeared to make the payment on either occasion.
