At 0845hrs today, Police were called to a dispute at 362 Lawrie St, 2nd floor. PO Joseph Sulikowski and Arcadio Rivera responded. As they entered the second floor apartment, they found the door had been kicked in, then observed the suspect, describe only as a Hispanic male in his 20’s, holding the victim at gun point. The suspect then pointed the gun at the officers. The officers backed off and requested assistance, while setting up a perimeter on the house. Additional officers surrounded the house and were able to get all the residents out to safety. Residents of the house believed the suspect was still in the house. Members of the Perth Amboy Police Dept Emergency Service Unit responded to the scene and searched the house. It is believed the suspect fled the house from an opposite door after the initial confrontation with the police officers.
