Tip to Dial 112 to reach State Police in all 50 states IS A HOAX... See full message...

A hoax email is circulating that reveals an alternative to a driver dialing 911 in the event of an emergency while on the road. The email instructs the reader to dial 112 on their cell phone to be automatically connected to a state police dispatcher in all 50 states. The email goes on to detail how a female driving alone saved herself from being sexually assaulted by dialing 112 when a police impersonator driving an unmarked police vehicle with a flashing red light attempted to pull her over. While the threat posed by persons impersonating police should not be diminished, it is important to emphasize that the 112 feature is nonexistent and the email is a hoax.

Dialing 911 is the preferred method as many 911 centers now have the ability to identify your location when you dial 911 from a cell phone.
