JUVENILE THEFT ARREST

A juvenile offender has been arrested and charged with a theft related offense, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
The male juvenile has been charged with first degree theft of property after allegedly stealing a 1999 black Ford F150 pick-up truck. The juvenile was reported as a runaway from The Bride, Inc.
The incident happened at approximately 9:30 p.m. Monday evening, January 31, 2011.
After stealing the vehicle from a residence located on Lay Springs Road, the juvenile led officers on a chase, in excess of 100 miles per hour, from U.S. Highway 431 at Noccalula Road to Interstate-59 North.
The driver eventually came to a stop near mile marker 192, where he was apprehended.
The juvenile was transported to the Coosa Valley Detention Center in Anniston. The vehicle was returned to its rightful owner without damage.
