Clinton County is under a LEVEL 1 Hazardous Transportation Emergency: All Travel is Prohibited
CLINTON COUNTY, INDIANA
LEVEL 1 HAZARDOUS TRANSPORTATION EMERGENCY:
Clinton County declares a hazardous transportation emergency and issues a Level 1 Hazardous Transportation Emergency for the following roadways: All Clinton County Roadways
A Hazardous Transportation Emergency is mandatory. Travel is prohibited and the roadways are closed except to emergency personnel and critical occupations personnel while engaged in necessary emergency or critical operations.
“Emergency personnel” includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Rostered members of law enforcement agencies, fire department, emergency medical service providers, search and rescue units, rescue squads, military units, disaster relief organizations, emergency management personnel, and requested mutual aid personnel
“Critical occupations personnel” includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Employees of railroad companies, utility companies, highway departments, towing and wrecker services, fuel delivery suppliers, news media, hospital and healthcare organizations and those assisting to mitigate the emergency conditions.
Parking on roadways covered by this declaration is prohibited. If a vehicle becomes stalled on a roadway covered by this declaration, the vehicle operator must take immediate action to have the vehicle removed from the roadway. The Clinton County Sheriff’s office and Clinton County Highway Department may remove, or have removed, any vehicle which presents a hazard to traffic, snow or debris removal or emergency operations, and a traffic complaint and summons may be issued to the vehicle operator and to the registered owner of the vehicle.
This emergency declaration and warning shall be in effect until modified or terminated.
