BURGLARY ARRESTS

Two individuals have been arrested and charged with burglary related offenses, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Christopher Dee Anthony Davis, 20, of Coates Bend, has been arrested and charged with second degree theft of property and third degree receiving stolen property, both are felonies,” states Investigator Chad Langdale.
“Andrew Power Ragan, 18, of Coates Bend, has been arrested and charged with first degree theft of property, second degree theft of property and third degree burglary, all are felonies, states Investigator Captain Jeff Hopper.
Davis and Ragan have allegedly been involved in several burglaries that occurred in the Coates Bend community.
The incidents related to today’s charges happened on December 7th and January 20th.
Approximately 15 reported burglaries have occurred in the Coates Bend community since November 2010. Most of the thefts happened during the night while residents were away from their homes or at abandoned houses.
The investigation is ongoing and more charges may be forthcoming.
Warrants have been obtained on two other individuals who are expected to be arrested later today.
Davis and Ragan are currently in the Etowah County Detention Center. Davis’s bond is set at $3,500. Ragan’s bond is $10,000.
