UPDATE - Cockeysville Area Water Main Break Residents urged to conserve water
There is a water main break at 10739 Lakespring Way in the Cockeysville area of Baltimore County. This is causing a drop in water storage at the Springdale and Springlake water towers.
The Baltimore City Department of Public Works is asking residents to conserve in these boundaries: Timonium Rd on the south, York Road on the west, Paper Mill Rd on the north, Dulaney Valley Rd - Jarrettsville Pike on the east.
Due to the snow cover, it will take a bit longer to locate and shutdown the valves to isolate this break. The Baltimore City Department of Public Works urges residents in the affected area to conserve water until this break is isolated.
Residents in the affected area should:
o Do not use dishwashers and washing machines.
o Take short showers.
o Do not let water run unnecessarily.
To report water main breaks/leaks Baltimore City residents should call 311. Baltimore County residents should call 410-396-5352.
