Travel Advisory: Ice continues to be a concern on area roadways tonight and tomorrow morning.

WITH TEMPERATURES NOT EXPECTED TO CLIMB MUCH ABOVE FREEZING ACROSS
NORTH CENTRAL ALABAMA UNTIL FRIDAY AFTERNOON...ICE CONTINUES TO BE
A CONCERN ON SOME AREA ROADWAYS. MAIN AREAS OF CONCERN WILL BE
ALONG AND NORTH OF A DETROIT...TO BIRMINGHAM...TO WEDOWEE LINE.
LEFT OVER MOISTURE FROM MONDAY`S WINTER WEATHER SYSTEM REMAINS ON
AREA ROADWAYS...BRIDGES...AND OVERPASSES...AND WILL LIKELY REMAIN
FROZEN PRODUCING BLACK ICE. BLACK ICE IS SIMPLY WATER THAT FREEZES
INTO ICE ON ROADWAYS. THIS ICE IS VERY HARD TO SEE ON THE DARKER
ROADWAY SURFACES AND CAN BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. ANYONE TRAVELING
AREA ROADWAYS THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING SHOULD EXERCISE EXTRA CAUTION
AND BE AWARE THAT ICY AREAS WILL EXIST.
