The Lakeport Police Dept. is seeking the publics help to identify a suspicious person as a result of a recent incident wherein a juvenile female was followed, while walking to her home from school, in the 2200 block of Green St. The person is described as a male subject in his 30’s with a medium complexion, average height and weight, with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, dark colored jeans and Birkenstock type sandals.

Any persons with information leading to the possible identity of the male subject is asked to contact the Lakeport Police Dept.

Citizens are encouraged to remind your children to be aware of their surroundings when walking to and from school and take precautionary measures such as walking with a friend whenever possible, stay in well lit
areas and try not to use shortcuts through trails and fields.

The Lakeport Police Dept. will be working with School Officials as well as the School Resource Officer to provide awareness and safety training to the
students.
