Medford Lakes – Christopher F. Sanchez, age 28, of Eastampton, NJ was arrested this morning for allegedly stealing approximately $2,100 worth of electronic equipment from the Y.A.L.E. school located at the Nokomis School in Medford Lakes.

The theft occurred on December 23, 2010 while Sanchez was working as an after school educational specialist for an institution not affiliated with the Medford Lakes School District or Y.A.L.E. School.

Staff at Y.A.L.E. noticed a 36” LG HDTV, WII and Playstation 2 gaming systems a Game Boy Advance and various games and controllers missing from a classroom upon returning from the holiday break on January 3, 2011.

Officer John McGinnis, with assistance from the Nokomis School staff, was able to determine Sanchez was a suspect after reviewing school security video. Further investigation by McGinnis revealed Sanchez sold some of the items at a Burlington County pawn shop. Some of the items were recovered and returned to the Y.A.L.E. School.

Sanchez was charged with theft and receiving stolen property. He posted the required $2,000 bail and was released after being processed.
