Arrest of Susquehanna Twp. man with drugs and carrying a firearm. Suspect resisted arrest.

Lower Paxton Twp. Police have charged a Susquehanna Township man with drug and firearm charges following an incident yesterday afternoon. A Patrol Officer stopped a vehicle on Prince St. near Queen Ave. for a traffic violation at approximately 2:10 PM. Randolph Scott III, 18 years of age, of Wood St., was a passenger in the vehicle. During the investigation, Scott attempted to run from police. Following a struggle, Scott was taken into custody. Found on his person was a loaded 9 mm firearm that had been reported stolen to the Harrisburg Police and several baggies of marijuana. Scott was charged with Receiving Stolen Property (Felony 2), Resisting Arrest (Misdemeanor 2), Firearms not to be Carried without a License (Felony 3), and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance (Felony). After arraignment at Night Court, Scott was taken to Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail. Two Lower Paxton Township Police Officers received minor injuries in the arrest.
