GA 400 SHUT DOWN NORTHBOUND - Motorists are urged to exit at Lenox Road Prior to Sandy Springs!!

At this time it appears that GA 400 may be shut down as long as two hours.

That is an estimate however motorists northbound on GA 400 are urged to exit at Lenox Road and take secondary roads north into Sandy Springs before re-entering GA 400.

From what is known, debris apparently fell from a truck and littered the highway causing damage to several cars.

Several cars did avoid contact with the debris but one car was not able to and the debris went through the windshield of the car and struck the passenger in the face and head. That passenger was taken to North Fulton Hospital with serious injuries.

Although not confirmed, the debris is said to be some sort of tool or utility clamps. The truck or vehicle that lost the load causing the debris, has not been located at this time.
