The NCSO reminds everyone to be safe this New Years Weekend. Please don't drink and drive.
Did you know that there were 10,839 deaths due to drunk driving in 2009 nationwide? 363 of those deaths occured in North Carolina alone. The legal drinking age in North Carolina is 21.
So it's okay to have a good time, just please have a Designated Driver where ever you are going this weekend.
Law Enforcement will be out strictly enforcing Drunk Driving Laws as they always do.
