Lower Paxton Twp. Police are investigating two burglaries, a business burglary overnight and a residential burglary reported yesterday. This morning at approximately 2:36 AM, units were dispatched to the Choice Cigarettes, 1327 N. Mountain Rd., for a burglar alarm. Upon arrival, police discovered that the front door had been pried open and a quantity of Newport cigarettes had been stolen. A similar incident had occurred on November 18th. Video surveillance is being reviewed for clues. A residential burglary was reported at the Brook Apartments in the 4200 block of Williamsburg Dr. that occurred sometime between 8:30 AM and noon yesterday. The resident reported to police that someone had forcibly entered her apartment and had removed a quantity of cash from several locations within the apartment.
