Crime Log December 3-17

Stolen Auto/Attempt Stolen Auto
A vehicle was stolen from the Maryville University Campus parking lot between November 29th and December 1st. The student’s vehicle, a 1999 Jeep Cherokee, was recovered by the St. Louis City Police Department. During the investigation, it was determined that the rear window had been broken to gain entry, and the ignition “punched” to drive the vehicle from the lot. During the same time frame, a 1999 Dodge Pickup truck was damaged in the same manner, however, that vehicle was not able to be started and driven from the campus.

Theft from Vehicles
During the overnight hours on December 8, several unlocked vehicles were entered and items stolen from the center consoles and glove boxes. The thefts occurred at residences on White Stable Road, Spruce Pond Drive, Claymark Drive, and Highland Point Drive. Items taken in the thefts included an iPod Shuffle, a digital picture frame, several gift cards, a GPS unit and computer equipment. All vehicles were parked in the resident’s driveways, and all were unlocked.
