Attempted robbery of convenience store, Sun-Up 4617 Locust Lane.

Lower Paxton Twp. Police are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred yesterday evening. Police were dispatched to the Sun-Up, 4617 Locust Lane at approximately 8:50 PM for a report of a disturbance. An individual had entered the store and demanded cash from the clerk while displaying a folding type knife. The clerk, instead of complying, reached across the cash register and attempted to pull off the hood of the individual and grabbed his arm. The robber was able to pull away and fled after knocking over a TastyKake display when the clerk began to come around the counter. No money was taken and the clerk sustained only scratches on his arm from the altercation. Police checked the area but could not locate the suspect. He is described as a Black/Male, 17 to 19 years of age, 5’6” tall, thin, unshaven (stubble) and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and gloves.
