With the holiday season upon us, the Dearborn Police Department wants to remind its citizens that we need to stay vigilant in our precautions against those who may try to commit crimes against us. This vigilance includes an awareness of those around us while in parking lots, malls and shopping centers, and even around our homes. Additionally, citizens should be mindful of not alerting others of opportunities for theft. This would include locking our doors to homes and vehicles as well as not making it apparent that the home is vacant or that your home may have newly acquired purchases that are prone to theft. We want all our citizens to stay safe and stay alert.
