DATE: Friday, December 10, 2010

Lower Paxton Twp. Police investigated an incident reported Wednesday afternoon where a Linglestown Middle School student who got off her bus at Fairway Lane and Greenridge Lane was asked by a stranger if she needed a ride. The girl’s mother told police that the man, described as in his 40’s, heavy build, with brown hair cut in a “buzz cut” and with a mustache, drove up beside her daughter and said: “You look chilly; can I give you a ride home?” The girl immediately turned and ran and the man reportedly laughed and drove away. He was driving a small tan SUV. Police have not received any other reports of this and have been patrolling the area where this was reported.
