Wisconsin Rapids snow emergency beginning at 9:00PM Saturday December 11, 2010 until 9:00PM Sunday December 12, 2010 
The City of Wisconsin Rapids will be under a snow emergency beginning at 9:00 PM Saturday, December 11, 2010 and will be in effect until 9:00 PM Sunday, December 12, 2010.
No parking will be allowed on city streets during this 24 hour period to allow for snow removal.
This storm is still developing in the Western US but is expected to move into Wisconsin on Saturday and the current forecast map (attached) puts Wood County into the 10-12 inch range. Strong winds and dropping temperatures are also forecast to accompany this system. Stay tuned to weather updates especially if you are planning on any travel this weekend.
