Larceny from Auto Reports

Thieves targeted unlocked vehicles in residential driveways over the weekend of December 3, 2010. Similar to reported larceny from auto reports last April which did result in the arrest of an individual, this past weekend 4 unlocked vehicles were entered. Three vehicles in the 1000 block of Hawthorne and one vehicle in the 1200 block of Roslyn were entered with property being reported as stolen. As a reminder, residents are being cautioned to lock their vehicles and not leave valuables in their vehicles for opportunistic thieves to see.

Also, during the holiday season, presents left in vehicles become an attraction for thieves who may wander neighborhoods looking into vehicles.
