11/30/2010, a Lower Paxton man was arrested while trying to sell a stolen car to a car dealer.

DATE: Wednesday, December 01, 2010

Lower Paxton Twp. Police arrested a Township man for Receiving Stolen Property, a 2010 Toyota Camry, when he attempted to sell it to a used car dealer for $5000.00. Yesterday, police were contacted by the used car dealer on Locust Lane who became suspicious of a man trying to sell them the vehicle. Investigation had revealed that the vehicle, worth about $20,000.00, had been reported stolen off of the lot of Freedom Toyota on October 5, 2010. Police took Jahan Rahim Eleazer, 36 years of age, of Marblehead St., into custody when he returned to the scene to see if the deal was going through. In addition, Eleazer is being charged with a residential burglary at his neighbor’s house in the 4400 block of Marblehead St. that occurred on November 24, 2010 while the resident was assisting with moving furniture at Eleazer’s home. Cash and checks were stolen from the neighbor’s house.

Eleazer was taken to Dauphin County Prison when he could not make bail and on a State Parole detainer.
