Suspicious person, Turkey Hill, 5009 Locust Lane. 11/29/10 12:30 AM.

DATE: Monday, November 29, 2010

Lower Paxton Twp. Police are investigating an incident early this morning in which a gun was displayed to the clerk of the Turkey-Hill Mini-Market, 5009 Locust Ln., as she walked to her car after closing the store. At approximately 12:30 AM, the clerk was walking toward her car parked on the west side of the building when she observed a male with a handgun in his hand walking toward her. She jumped into her vehicle and started blowing the horn. The subject ran south through back yards toward Berkley St. A friend of the clerk who had been in front of the store ran around the side of the building in response to the horn and also observed the subject running. The suspect is described as a male, unknown race, 5’5” to 5’9” tall, wearing dark sweat pants, a dark jacket, gloves and a dark hooded sweatshirt with the hood over his head. Due to the quick actions of the clerk, it cannot be determined what the subject’s intent was but, under the circumstances, it is assumed that it was a robbery. An intensive search of the area by police for the suspect was unsuccessful.
